Modern approaches to psychological support for international students were discussed at KRMU
On April 30, 2026, the Medical International School of KRMU held the international conference "Between Cultures: Psychological Support for International Students". The conference was conducted in a hybrid format and brought together experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan, including university psychologists, researchers, and specialists working with international students. The event became a platform for exchanging experience, discussing current challenges, and exploring effective practices for psychological support in a multicultural educational environment. During the conference, participants discussed the adaptation of international students in medical universities, issues related to providing psychological assistance to English-speaking students, the specifics of intercultural communication, and analyzed professional cases from the practice of university psychologists. Throughout the discussions, experts shared successful student support practices, examined modern approaches to psychological counseling, and emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation in the fields of education and mental health. Such events contribute to the development of professional dialogue, the exchange of experience among specialists from different countries, and the improvement of support systems for international students in medical universities.
