Master's Degree
MASTER'S DEGREE – a postgraduate education level aimed at training personnel with the award of a "Master" degree in the relevant educational program, with the mandatory completion of at least 60-120 academic credits.

ORGANIZATION AND CONDUCT OF ENTRANCE EXAMS:
Persons applying for a Master's degree take comprehensive testing (hereinafter - CT)
CT is conducted by the National Testing Center (NTC) at locations determined by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK).
It is necessary to apply for participation in the CT on the website of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan https://testcenter.kz/ru/.
Based on the results of the CT, an electronic certificate will be issued through the test-taker's personal account.
Applicants who have passed the CT and scored the passing grade can apply for participation in the competition for a Master's educational grant on the website of the NTC of the MSHE RK through the university's admissions committee. In the application, applicants indicate one group of Master's educational programs and up to 3 (three) Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION:
Persons applying for a Master's degree submit a package of documents from August 15 to August 28 (from December 26 to January 10) of the calendar year to the university through the admissions committee or through the "e-government" web portal (portal):
1. When applying through the admissions committee, the following documents are required:
1.1. Application addressed to the Rector of the University (Appendix 1);
1.2. document on higher education (copy and original);
1.3. certificate of internship completion (if any) (copy and original);
1.4. identity document or electronic document from the digital documents service (required for identification) and a copy;
1.5. six photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters;
1.6. Medical certificate in form 075/u in electronic format, approved by order of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 175/2020;
1.7. certificate confirming foreign language proficiency (if any):
English language proficiency:
International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic), threshold score - not less than 6.0;
Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT), threshold score - not less than 60;
German language proficiency:
Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH) - not lower than level B2;
TestDaF-Prüfung (TDF) - not lower than level B2;
French language proficiency:
Test de Français International (TFI) - not lower than level B2 in reading and listening sections;
Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française (DELF) - not lower than level B2;
Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF) - not lower than level B2;

1.8. document confirming labor activity (for persons with work experience) (copy certified by the HR department);

1.11. an essay on the reasons that prompted the candidate to apply to the Master's program, the candidate's long-term career goals, and how this program will help them achieve these goals; (Appendix 2);

1.13. a letter guaranteeing the conclusion of a contract and payment of tuition fees (for applicants to paid Master's programs if a certain institution or organization pays the tuition);
1.14. cardboard fast-folder (1 piece);
1.15. postal envelope, A6 size (1 piece) (for storing photos).
2. When applying through the portal:
2.1. an application in the form of an electronic document certified by the applicant's EDS;
2.2. electronic document on higher education;
2.3. medical certificate in form 075/u in electronic format;
2.4. certificate confirming foreign language proficiency in the form of an electronic document certified by the applicant's EDS.
Attention! If submitting documents through the e-government portal, the applicant must submit the original documents to the admissions committee according to the list of documents required when applying to the university's admissions committee, by August 28 of the calendar year.
Admission to Master's programs:
Admission of persons to the scientific and pedagogical Master's programs on a paid basis and under the state educational order is carried out based on the CT results in accordance with the 150-point grading scale for CT to Master's programs.

Admission of persons to specialized Master's programs taught in Kazakh or Russian on a paid basis and under the state educational order is carried out based on the CT results in accordance with the 70-point grading scale for CT to Master's programs.

Admission of persons who have completed fixed-term military service to a specialized Master's program on a paid basis within three years after completing fixed-term military service is carried out without entrance exams based on the results of an interview conducted by the admission committees of the university during the calendar year. In this case, the admission of citizens who have served fixed-term military service is carried out 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period (semester) in accordance with the academic calendar.
Admission of leading personnel included in the register of posts of state political and administrative civil servants, the register of posts of civil servants in relevant fields, to specialized Master's programs on a paid basis is carried out without entrance exams based on the results of an interview conducted by the university's admission committees during the calendar year. In this case, the admission of these persons is carried out 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period (semester) in accordance with the academic calendar.
