"Center for the Implementation of Innovative Technologies in Practical Healthcare"

The Center for the Implementation of Innovative Technologies in Practical Healthcare provides for the development and implementation of selected innovative technologies in routine clinical processes. It conducts preparation for scaling and provides support in medical organizations. It provides consulting assistance to developers and medical organizations.

The Center focuses on technologies that are ready for real-world use and sets a basic threshold for technological readiness for practical implementation at the TRL 7 level to minimize risks and accelerate the transition from pilot to sustainable practice. We help developers refine their prototypes and turn them into working products.

TRL 7 (Technology Readiness Level 7) – a prototype or pilot version of the technology has been demonstrated under conditions close to real-world conditions: the key functions have been confirmed to work in the target environment, integration with the necessary components/processes has been performed, and test results are available that allow for the transition to practical implementation with controlled modifications and improvements.

Services of the center:

Analytics of the quality and effectiveness of medical care:

To ensure the manageability of a medical organization's (clinic's) processes based on objective management data, RWE/RWD medical data, and transparent, measurable metrics.

  • Digital dashboards (dashboards): indicators of patient route quality, load, and efficiency.
  • Clinical Process Analytics: identifying bottlenecks, optimizing waiting times, and increasing throughput.
  • Evaluation of the treatment outcome: value-based healthcare approaches and monitoring the dynamics of indicators.

Technology transfer:

  • Piloting in partner clinics: testing solutions in a real environment and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Methodological support for implementation: processes, data requirements, maturity assessment, and change management.
  • Interdisciplinary teams: advisory sessions on organization and advanced training for doctors, researchers, data engineers, and developers of information systems and technologies in healthcare, as well as healthcare management and organization specialists.

Implementation of digital clinical services and telemedicine:

The Center develops solutions for continuous medical care, from the clinic to the patient's home. (project https://medart.pro/ based on the platform https://medsenger.ru/about)

  • Remote monitoring: data collection, trend monitoring, and early warning signs of deterioration.
  • Telemedicine scenarios: consultations, support for chronic patients, and post-hospitalization monitoring.
  • Patient Digital Routes: convenient recording, information, reminder, and feedback services.

Expertise of innovative solutions:

Assessment of technology readiness (assessment of technological and market readiness) in accordance with the methodological guidelines (GOST R 58048–2017) and the author's methodology for assessing innovation for developing information systems and products in the field of healthcare.

The assessment is carried out in relation to: personal medical assistants, medical decision support systems, remote monitoring systems for chronic patients and patients at risk and/or under dispensary supervision, etc.

When assessing technological readiness, the following factors are considered:

  • Implementation of the system usage concept;
  • Installation and operation of the system on the intended platform;
  • Issues related to ensuring safety and preventing adverse effects (risks);
  • Demonstration of how the real system works.

Market (marketing) readiness assessment includes:

  • Prospects for commercialization of the system/product;
  • Availability of competitive advantages compared to similar products on the market;
  • Product promotion risks;
  • Goals, stages, and a plan for product promotion.

The basic evaluation cost is 2.5 million tenge.
