International Experience: KRMU Students Participated in Academic Mobility Program in Samarkand

Fourth-year students of the “Dentistry” educational program at the Kazakh-Russian Medical University took part in an academic mobility program at the Samarkand State Medical University. During the visit, the students became familiar with the dental faculty’s departments, clinical training base, and modern simulation classrooms. They participated in practical sessions and clinical case discussions, which allowed them to enhance their skills on phantom equipment and compare different approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases used in another medical institution. As part of the program, the students also exchanged experience with faculty members and students of the host university, discussing current issues in dental practice, clinical reasoning, and modern trends in the development of dentistry. A key highlight of the visit was participation in the scientific conference “Current Issues of Prosthetic Dentistry”. The students explored contemporary research findings, took part in discussions, and expanded their knowledge in prosthetic dentistry and dental prosthetics. Such academic and scientific mobility programs contribute to the development of professional competencies, improvement of clinical thinking, and formation of international experience among future medical specialists.
